Greek Food - Recipe: Zelnick

The Macedonia recipe.

1 lb Butter (Salted)
2 Medium Canned Spinach
2 Package Cottage Cheese (Large cartons)
8 Whole Egg
1 1/2 lb Feta Cheese (Crumbled)
2 Package Fyllo Pastry
  • In a large bowl, mix the cottage cheese, eggs, spinach and crumbled feta.
  • Melt the butter in a separate bowl.
  • Place 3 layers of the fyllo pastry on the counter.
  • Sprinkle or brush the melted butter over the layers of pastry.
  • Sprinkle the filling over the pastry.
  • Fold the pastry towards you in a 3 inch fold.
  • Do not press down on the pastry as you are folding.
  • Place in a large pan and bake at 350 degrees until the tips get golden brown.
  • While still hot from the oven, cover the top with the melted butter.
